Hello helpful souls. I've just bought a T5 Classic but before I ride it home I want to fit mirrors - it currently doesnt have any. It has the holes in the handlebar casing - they're currently filled with rubber grommets. Of course, I forgot to look in there when I viewed it but I bought the internal bolt fixings and a set of mirrors from Beedspeed. So, I'd like to be able to turn up and look like I know what I'm doing when I pick the thing up, if you catch my drift! Also, will I need any special tools to get inside the casing? It looks like it might be fiddly.
I wait with bated breath... MT

just carefully remove the grommets and if the mirrors have the screw threads on the end they will just screw into the threaded hole you will see/ they are left and right handed though. or you could get the ones with brackets which fit under the headset and also hold a flyscreen/

on the px there is a small fitting that goes between the mirror stem and the thread in the headset. to get a spanner on this you have to remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the headset and lift the headset top off.. the fitting is what lets you adjust the mirror stems..i can take a photo if you like..i personally prefer no mirrors...tony ,,photo of my new panels as well

the headsets mirrors are a waste of time, all you'll see is your elbows! if you do want mirrors as already suggested get the Cuppini ones which fit on brackets under the headset in the bolt holes already provided, much better. For £12 you can get yourself a new headset top with no holes

Cheers folks, looks like I'll be looking at my elbows on the drive home then! I'll investigate the Cuppini option a bit later. Toy.
