Hi there. I'm looking at buying a T5. There's one on ebay but it looks like it will need a new engine casing and front mudguard. So, my question - as a complete newbie - is: are PX and T5 panels interchangeable?
Cheers. Michael

What model of T5 is it?
If it's a T5 Classic (or Millennium) the frame is the same as a PX. The front mudguards are basically the same but the T5 one is a one-piece without the join down the middle and the central embelishment.
If it's a Mk1 T5 I don't know if they'll fit. But, there's quite a few T5 owners on the forum (yes they haven't all defected to the T5 owners website yet) that will be able to confirm this for you.
Welcome to our forum by the way.

As spence says, T5 Classic is same body as PX (of the same era).
Presume you mean needs new side panel and not new engine case..
New mudguard is about £30 for a reasonable repro one, cheaper for a shoddy repro one..

So, if I get a T5 I should go somewhere else? Not that I know where that somewhere else is! Is it the Square Tails Scooter Club site?

No mate, you are very welcome here at the best forum. I'm sure there's plenty of our members that also use other forums. Live and let live and everything.
I just take a bit of a dim view when someone joins my forum with the sole intention of recruiting people for another forum he's thinking of setting up, then buggers off taking them with him. Old story, nothing you need to worry about.
;D
