on my t5 i've got a front rack, rear rack and some chrome around the front mud guard all of it needs a bit of tlc. does anyone know if i can and where i can get them re-chromed in the north west or would it be cheaper to save up my pennies and buy new ones? all comments even stupid ones greatfully recieved ;D

save yeah pennies mate very expensive probably better buying new ones if i was you ebay your old ones people will buy anything especially scoot stuff and with the funds get new ones obviously with a bit more cash

As said rechroming is really only worth doing if the parts are quality to start with as it'll probably cost you more to get a good job done than buying new..

Oh, I had some fixings chromed by a reputable chromer on the scooter scene very recently, absolute pants, most flaked first time I put a spanner near them, waste of money!

Agree with everyone else had beedspeed quote for rechroming an old two four accessories back rack. £100 as opposed to £85 for a brand new 4 in one rack. have you considered powder coating them though. can be done in a bright silver. or any colour you want.

I had powder coating done on a chrome rack (brand new, just wanted it black), it was fine for a while but started to flake after a few months, hard to get anything to adhere to chrome..
