I dont care. However my lights have now gone crap! There more like 6 volt lammy lights.
The motor went with a free spinning sound and then the lights dimmed. Will it have broken something else, i've got a new motor if i need to fit one.
Can anyonme shed any "light" on the problem.
Cheers...Tim

Hi Tim Could be a couple of things, try disconnecting starter motor just to make sure theres not a short in it causing the lights to dim. Check earth cable from starter to battery is not damaged, finally check the battery is putting out the correct Amps in may read 12V on a meter but whats the amp coming out of it and what does it drop to when you switch things on.
Good luck Dave

Disconnected the starter and everything is back to normal..apart from the horn which is now $hit. I was really excited about having a decent horn, but now its back to the rubbish scooter horn

Hi Mate
Obviously as i said a short in the casing of starter motor, now the horn i had the same problem when i bought my P2 last year with the starter and horn. Ended up replacing switch and horn as they are wired DC volts from battery and the short had cooked both. DC horns are a bit dear from vespa parts so get and 12v dc horn about £5 make a little bracket and all done.
