Hi folks
I am looking to get a 'sports' exhaust for my T5 classic.
Along the lines of a SIP, PM Tuning, Taffspeed or any other ...
If anyone knows what might be the best for performance on a standard T5 and which ones, if all, mean you lose the spare wheel under the side panel
thanks in advance

There is no 'best' really, all perform differently, do a search, lots of past threads on exhaust options, but IMO from what I've had on my T5;
Sito plus - cheap & cheerful, better top end, louder than OE, baffles break loose and rattle, downpipes crack.
Simmonini - equally cheap & cheerful, quieter than Sito, performance about same, maybe better at bottom end, worse at top end. End cans fall off.
PM Evo - pretty quiet, great top end but poor torque, frustrating if you have a standard 125 and live anywhere with hills or wind! needs to be thrashed. Can use with spare wheel but sits very low to ground.
My personal choice is a Simmonini..

Best all round pipe for a T5 Classic is the one that came on the T5 Classic! Failing that as Bryno says there are loads on the market, it's all down to what you're willing to spend. The T5 motor lives on revs anyway so you can't really go wrong with a PM but there's always going to a compromise along the way. I personally wouldn't even entertain a Simo, in my opinion they're a waste of space, a Sito is good value for your cash, but if you intend to fit a kit in the future then a PM is the way to go. This is my opinion only due to the pipes I've used/fitted in the past, but I'm hearing very good things about the JLs so maybe they're worth having a look at.
