Ha! I know the feeling mate, I've hardly ridden mine this year as every time I do something else goes wrong! Pishes me off tbh, seriously considering getting the newer PX150 and see how I go with that.😒

Yes its a 5 port reed valve. Took engine out today, any little surprises for me when I take it apart? ie springs or clips that go pinging in all directions never to be seen again?

Ok I'm going to need a new crankshaft then. I'm also going to need some help to do this. Standard or Racing crankshaft? (bearing in mind it has a tuning kit) Also, could someone advise me on the other parts I should renew whilst undertaking a job like this. This could turn into a very long thread me thinks. S***! where do I start???

That's only half a mm a side. I'd hardly bother with a lathe!!!! Whoa!! Lathe only on this type of operation This has to be right, not close enough. These things are spinning at high revs and need to be true. Hope I'm no too late. Fraid so, I had a mate offer to do it for me too but I opted for the die grinder. Now I know it's probably not 100% concentric and I'm no engineer but do you reckon it's going to make that much difference?? Sort of wish I had gone down the lathe road but its abit late now so I'm just gonna have to suck it and see. I haven't quite finished it yet but it's getting there.

Well my crankshaft measures 16mm. But every clutch I get is 15mm.

I spoke to somebody at SIP yesterday and they seem to think I have an oversized crankshaft and recommended I just enlarge the diameter of the hole. Is this a lathe job or a Dremmel type job?

Got my new clutch today, trouble is it won't fit on the crankcase shaft as the hole is slightly smaller in the base plate. I got a 108 clutch as that was the size of the clutch plates which were in the last clutch. If I had ordered the 115 would the hole in the base plate have been abit bigger. I'm abit confused here, I don't know what sort of clutch to get for it. Help please, it's Friday and I've had a crap week at work and today just got crapper! :0/

I've never actually changed anything back there myself. That's just how I found it. Right or wrong is the question here. That washer on the left is very thin. I havnt had a good look at the key slot as yet but I'll investigate tomorrow.

You're not wrong there matey! I have ordered a complete new clutch, locking washer and clutch nut. I'm abit confused here though. I have an LML 150 engine, as far as I'm aware is the same as PX150. When the clutch is off, there is then the fat washer, behind that is a very thin washer. I have looked at exploded views of both LML and PX and can't see these. Any advice for me on this much appreciated. Attachments:

Out on scooter today and the clutch went so I had to crunch it home. Adjusted the cable up (with that new little tool I bought, worked a treat I must say :0) ) Anyway, that worked for about 5 seconds and it went again. When I pulled the clutch in it was squeaking. Any theories on this folks? I don't seem to be able to go out at the moment without some problem or another rearing it's ugly head… it's doing this ugly head in. :0/

I think an ant must of ran off with it or something, they're big buggers here :0)
Reliability would be nice!.....or am I asking abit too much there?! I currently have the SIP exhaust and it's fine, doesn't look as good as the Scorpion would however. Anyway I was just wondering what sets this exhaust (and a few of the others ie SERIE PRO and JL) apart from the cheaper ones?

Cheers for that guys. I took the piston off and gave it a good clean in some thinners. However, I cannot get a 15mm G Circlip around here. No Polini stockists in Adelaide, or Australia as far as I'm aware. So, I ended up doing a SIP shop (always dangerous). You have to spend $100 before they will ship out here. Bought some spare circlips and thought bugger it might as well buy a new piston and rings as a spare too! (Plus a few other pieces I need..… but don't need, you know what it's like) It's just not as convenient for me to get things as it is for you people back in the mother land. 😔
Racing Exhaust SIP Road v Racing Exhaust Scorpion.…opinions anybody??

Good to go or what? I didn't take the piston off, just cleaned the crown. Had a spare G circlip so bunged that in. Whats the easiest way to drop the engine so as to get the piston off/on. There must be a way to do the work without pulling it out and dumping in on the work bench? What's a good system method that makes life abit easier. ie: changing the other circlip? Attachments:
