Am struggling to find any information on this other than the date though I suspect I'm just looking in the wrong places. Do the BSRA have a website? If they do it's well hidden. Have found the British Society for Research on Ageing, the British Sound Recording Association, the Business Software Retailer Alliance and the Birmingham Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (bet that lot are a hoot) Anyone help me out?

Ta. Had been on that site but was just wondering if a flyer or ought with more on it was knocking about.
I'll try e-mailing the VFM folks then.

There's not a lot of information on the VFM flyer for Whitby.
The official campsite is at Broadings Farm, out on the edge of town on the A171 Guisborough Road. Postcode is YO21 1TL if you want to Google it or put it into your satnavs. Definitely a cab ride and not a walk into Whitby I'd say, I don't know if there'll be minibuses running or not.
Every B&B is booked solid, unless you don't mind sharing a four-poster double bed with red satin sheets in a dracula themed room with rubber bats hanging off the ceiling that is.

It's been 8 weeks since I broke my shoulder, I've only just this Friday been referred for physio, and even I'm not totally confident I'm going to be fit for a 6-7 hour ride to Whitby, so good luck with that by the way.

Good luck with that Sue, I'll be lording it up in digs in town with Blocky. But don't worry, I'm sure there'll be plenty of AFSC desperados willing to give you a hand.

Just to clarify, my front brake cable snapped and the brake lever broke - nothing at all to do with Garry's meddling adjusting... ;D

Yes that's smashing but this is the thread for the Whitby rally so if you want to talk about brake cables can you take it somewhere else please?

You don't need to book the official campsite Peter, but like you said, it is out of town quite a way. If it's that far they may have minibuses running, they used to do that at Tenby.
