Sorry your not going this year Spence, I was looking forward to meeting you. Last year was chaos with no Police escort. I went on my GTS, otherwise my Lambretta would have burnt the clutch out with stop/starting.

I've just read that this year is going to be the last Gingers as the hospital is shutting down. Anybody know if there is any truth in this?

You're right Ferdy, there's always one. I read about it on a NW scooter clubs website messageboard. I hope it's not true as well.

This will definately be the last Gingers Egg Run as a mass ride for the reason that,s been mentioned, the Hospital is closing and will be moving to central Manchester.Speaking to Ginger last week he says that there is a possibility that something may happen in the future but it will never be a mass ride again. So if it,s one you,ve never done this is your last chance.

Enjoyed it today as well. The weather wasn't as bad as predicted, but sadly the rideout was as disorganised as last year. Somebody I met told me 10 mins before the ride was due to start that , once again, it wouldn't be escorted. Apparently the Feds said that it was "an illegal gathering" and wouldn't escort it (?). So it was all stop/start and dodge the car driver in separated groups again. Shame.
Nice to meet you too Devo, even though it was only a brief Hello and handshake at the traffic lights. I did see you briefly at the hospital, but you were deep in conversation with someone at the time so maybe see you on a Lancashire alliance rideout sometime? Like you say, it would be nice to have a chat.
Also spotted, Lucia at the top of an embankment staring at a camera with a look of bemusement on her face.
