What’s the best way to lift up the rear so that I can access from underneath the bolt and spinning nut on my exhaust to remove them?
I’ve tried lifting the stand up and then using a car jack under the rear shock as a tripod but it was wobbly as hell. Some have said lay the scoot on it’s side, battery off and spare wheel side down. This seems very drastic and although I’d use only blankets to protect, it still seems wrong.

My last exhaust wasn't a good fit and I had to grind the captive nut cage off and make the bracket holes into slots. I've found the easiest method is to remove the nut from the engine mount bolt and tap the bolt through the frame a bit which allows the engine to drop down on one side. This only works properly if the nut is on the left side of the frame but it gives you just enough room to get a spanner onto the exhaust nut. It amazes me with the popularity of the PX for after market parts, how hard is it to make an exhaust that fits!

I use a number of wooden blocks under the engine casing and the stand feet. I just add another piece of wood as i go round the two stand feet and the engine casing until i reach the required height. You can also use bricks.

That is what I use to sort my exhaust... I struggle around on the floor like a dying carp.... The next one I put on, will be held by an R clip...
