Hi I’m kinda new here ,I have a Vespa Px125e ,it’s old C reg 1985. It got stolen in April 2019 and thought I’d never see it again, got an email off police out of the blue that it had been found yesterday 29th April 2020 so I went to pick it up.when it was stolen the key was also stolen as part of a burglary Question is ,is there anyway to get a new key for this scooter ,and if so how or do I need to get a new ignition fitted ?
Any help appreciated ,and I can post pics of this scoot and all details of registration so to prove authenticty

Welcome to the forum. Glad you got your scooter back. Changing the steering lock isn't to hard a job, without the key ,I think you will need to drill the lock,. If you Google it there are videos of how to do it

Hi and welcome, Yes unfortunately without a key you'll probably have to drill the barrel out. If your switch is on the headset with the Speedo, I'm sorry I've no experience. If it's on the right side of the steering column just above the butty box you might be able to do it Take the horn cover off and remove the ignition switch which may be held in place with a little grub screw. Under the metal tube that the barrel slides into there should be a really small hole that you can poke a little Allen key or something in. This pushes a little spring clip out of the way. This may allow you to then push the old lock barrel out. I will say that I suspect the key needs to be in to line up the pins inside the barrel but it's worth a shot and Even if you need to drill it out, taking the actual ignition switch off will prevent it getting damaged when you drill. Hope this is of help. keV.
