Hi Guys when you have a complete new clutch , is it necessary to strip it to soak the plates in engine oil as you would when just replacing plates, or do you just fit it complete?
TIA

I'd say soak it unless you have evidence that it was already done...

I bought a complete clutch made by FA Italia and it had been lightly oiled, but I let the plates soak overnight anyway as when you are holding it in your hand, it is really easy to just take it apart and do it properly, if you do not have a clutch compressor, just make one from either a long bolt and some big washers or threaded rod, nuts and washers.
