Hi all,
I bought a Vespa PX 200 about 1 month ago and just getting used to it cleaning doing all my adjustments buying loads of equipment for it spark plugs oils etc.
But it seems to be running to rich well so I believe it is as the spark plug was very black so I bought a new spark plug and after one week I removed the spark plug and again its really black hence why with my little knowledge of the vespas all points to running to rich.
Everyone I have talked to say they are easy to service etc which is does seem very easy so far but the above is a grey area for me.
Thanks for any help or advice in advance.
Regards
Gary

Hi phattanglo,
Yes am happy to tackle the jets etc in the carb but what one is the pilot jet i have you tubed a lot of videos and they say it should be screwed all the way in and screw out 1 1/2 turns is the default setting is this the one at the back of the carb looking from the back of the scooter?
Thanks
Gary

It is, About 1 1/2 turns for a Dellorto carb and about 2 1/2 turns for a Spaco carb which is made under licence I think for Dellorto as they've stop making SI carbs themselves.

Hi phattanglo,
I have had a play about with the carb today and its a Dellorto carb on it and I have screwed the pilot screw all the way in and turned it 1.5 turns out. The dellorto carb has numbers SI24.24E stamped on it. I have stripped the carb and gave it all a good clean out.
