Hi, I recently bought a scoot and I'm unable to start it, I'm not getting a spark from the plug but it was running 2 weeks prior to purchase. What is the most common fault for not getting a spark?

Have you changed the plug? Have you got one of those crap plastic right angled caps? Has the ht lead caught on the fins and melted? Check all of the above first.

Check your ignition switch is working and that no wires have come loose on the CDI.
Let us know how you get on.

or... could just be damp, take it out and wipe it with a cloth (sounds simple, but used to happen on my T5 in the winter)
