It's the first scooter I have done. I normally have motorcycles so the scooter was something different for me

the 1.5 mm can go on the base of the cylinder OR the top of the cylinder or a mixture of top and/with bottom eg: 1mm on base and 0.5mm on the top at the same time Or 0.75mm base AND 0.75mm top Or any combination that adds up to the 1.5mm difference. Remember you could also add more than 1.5mm,All depends on the cylinder timings you want and the size of squish your aiming for at the cylinder head. Also some cylinders are made to use with a 60mm crankshaft so don't use the 1.5 mm spacers.😉 Mij☺ Hello sir, greetings from Indonesia I want to ask some question I have a plan to buy polini 177 castiron cylinder kit, and i already bought 60mm mazzuchelli KD2 So.. is a polini 177 castiron can be fitted on my 60mm crank ? is that PNP or should i add 1.5mm spacer ? thanks before

1.5mm base spacer would work. Ideally you should modify / lower the ports for the longer stroke. All depends where the ports are on the cylinder. Also there are other cylinder kits available made for 60mm stroke. You can add a spacer at the cylinder head as well but depending on the the cylinder head fits.. Personally I would look in to the what kits work best with 60mm stroke because with my vmc kit it was hard to find a top cylinder spacer the right shape so have to make one out of a different spacer.. So it might be better to use a cylinder kit made for 60mm stroke

No ports in the new cylinder would ideally need to be changed for example the piston will stroke will now be lower with a 60mm stroke so ideally you would lower the cylinder ports or at least the exhaust port.. It will work without doing this but then you are not getting the best out of the 60mm stroke so would just be better to use standard stroke if not lowering the ports

Long stroke is not the conrod length it's the big end pin it on the crankshaft webs is in a different place. So you can't change a 60mm stroke crankshaft to original stroke. Well a offset big end pin could be used but that's something a purson who rebuilds crankshafts would need to do.
