Probably not to a lot of people's tastes .... but I got the new Radiohead album yesterday. Is more or less free to download, you just pay the credit/debit card payment (less than a quid) and then whatever amount you want ... I opted for 69p, juvenile I know.
Only listened to it once at the moment but I'm very impressed so far.

Just got hold of a cover album of 'Ok Computer' by Radiohead ... is a reggae version done by loads of different artists, is christened 'Radiodread' ... clever that.
Is brilliant all the way through, Toots and The Maytals cover of 'Let Down' is the best thing I've heard in a long time.
There is also one of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon' ...'Dub Side Of The Moon' ... will shortly be getting my mitts on that I reckon.

Tim Burgess gave a crackin' interview on BFBS this afternoon. They are playing in Dusseldorf on 23 Sep. Is it worth risking a domestic bust-up to go?

In my personal opinion, no. Tim Burgess may give a cracking interview, but he's a lousy singer. Not as bad as Ian Brown. Certainly not as bad as Shaun Ryder. But nowhere near as good as Tom Hingley.

Last time I saw them was about 4 years ago. Couldn't wait ' cause I'd seen them few times previous. Oh dear! Burgess had started going to LA and turned into a C**k. took his shirt off half way through set & stretched his arms out to us AKA Jacko, then started talking to us in southern USA drawl??? Band were still tight though, shame about him.

i used to be the guitar tech for the charlatans, tim might not be the best singer in the world, but its not all about that, its more about the vibe and the whole feel the band give off, live they strive for giving the audience the best show they can, cool bunch of people, respect

ahahahhaha i see this is an old post ..but this one made me laugh! Saw them at Apollo Hammersmith in London in 2004 and they were still great! At one point Ron Wood joined the band on stage and they played "Stay with me" from the Faces. Brilliant! 10+
