Like a reet twonk, I've only just got round to discovering them, marvellous. Like the Macc Lads but better music and smarter lyrics. Is it to late to enter Bob Wilson - Anchorman into Music Game 2?

It's never a good idea to enter Bob Wilson.

Ha ha, yes ... guess that was phrased slightly dodgily!
I wonder if Seaman ever entered Wilson during their coaching sessions? A bridge to far ... consider my head bowed in shame.
Quality stuff though, gonna have to see what else of theirs I can get hold of on the cheap ...

In my humble opinion Nigel Blackwell is one of this countries greatest ever lyricists. Thoroughly nice chap too, shops in our local Sainsburys.

Very clever and funny lyrics . Devo compared them to the Mac lads I personaly dont think they have the same warmth and sensitivity as the mac lads on such sentimental songs as Sweaty Betty or He,s a poof . But what do I know I probably work in an all night garage............................................................with talk radio on!!!

HMHB, of course famously turned down a chance to appear on TOTP because Tranmere were playing at home.

Yes, I read that the other day. Plenty of kudos deserved for that one.

It was The Tube (Channel 4 , Friday teatime in the 80's), I remember Muriel Grey making a rather snide comment about it at the time. Legend has it they even ofered to fly them up to Newcastle after the first half and record the second for them.

Yes The Tube would make more sense as Tranmere always used to traditionally play on a Friday night. Also, HMHB were a bit dangerous for those poofs on TOTP.

The synopsis for their new album, CSI: Ambelside.
Half Man Half Biscuit pull out all the stops on their sales notes, with this superb album review: 'Half Man Half Biscuit's 'nth album offers no departure whatsoever from their rather formulaic brand of tuneless caterwaul and whilst this 'mostly filler no killer' approach might appease the already committed fan, it is unlikely to attract any new friends. Somewhat inevitably, there is no myspace page to 'check out'.'
PS There's a song on it called 'Bad Losers On Yahoo Chess' ;D
PPS I go up to Ambelside quite a lot, very nice it is too.

I was telling the HMHB TRFC TOTP story the other night to one of those dedicated MUFC supporters who's never been to Old Trafford, just to illustrate what it's like to be a real football supporter! TTFN.
