Googled this subject matter (for research reasons of course), and didn't get what I was looking for at all!

Good tune that, I've got 1 of their previous albums ... nowt to clever though really. I've got some Scandinavian mates and have done a fair bit of travelling round those parts. Some decent Svenska bands to check out:
Broder Daniel, The Concretes, The Hives, Håkan Hellström (He's ace! Would be massive if he sung in English I reckon), Monster, The Sounds and The Plan.

Of all the bands I saw/heard at V2003, The Hives were the only one that sounded awful.

Obviously not. But David Gray was. He was sh*t, but he was still better than The Hives.

To be fair, I can imagine that they have serious off days. I've seen them once years ago and they were good, small venue though ... wouldn't fancy them at a festival.
On record though, they are quality. Your New Favourite Band, their compilation of stuff from the first 2 albums released on Poptones is packed with top Rock 'N Roll tunes .... reminds me of The Stooges.
Not sure what their recent stuff is like.

Devo,
I've got that album. I bought it after seeing them on "Jools". It's pretty raw, but honest rock, unlike some of the pretentious s***e that's out there.
