You could drain and flush out tank using old fashioned siphon method with a tube and a bit of a suck, never tastes good but this is the way thieves use to steal other peoples fuel before locking caps, if you have not statrted engine it wont even be in carb.

Morning. Cheers, I was thinking I might be able to just do this and just fill her back up again. Guess I'll just be kicking out some smoke for afew days but I can live with that. Fingers crossed a hose and a bucket is all I'll need...

obviously you won`t be able to remove every last drop of diesel but if you put in a fresh litre of petrol and then siphon it out also you should be pretty much clear of the old fuel. if you have a clear hose or length of pipe it means you can hopefully see the fuel getting closer to your mouth and put into bucket before you get a gob full!

Only managed to drink one mouth full at the end trying to get the last bit out. Just threw in 5L of fresh PETROL! and went for a run. Bit smoky and didn't like to rev to start but went for a run and seems fine. Probably have abit smoke until this mix of sh*t is gone from the tank but guess it could be worse.
Hope this all helps the next knob who fill up with dirt diesel.
Cheers. ✌🏻

I've been fighting with the Peugeot again.... I was going to suggest emptying the diesel from the pipe which connects to the carb, then put in about 1-2 litres of super (unleaded, usually green by the way....😀) and leaving it overnight. Empty again, fill full of super unleaded, and run it around. At least you're back up and running though!

Well that would have been the better way of doing it! Haha. It runs ok and in my book that's enough. Abit white smoke I can deal with for the next few miles. Will keep the tank topped up rather than running it all through just to keep diluting it. Still bottled taking it to work today though. Couldn't face it giving up on me half way to work/on my way home in the rain. It's a long push from Hatfield back to Walthamstow...
