whats the general census on the gts 125 any good ? value will it hold decent value. common faults ? all comments welcome

only had 1 mate on a gt125 not gts ,but think there pretty samey ,seemed ok ,a total git if ya lose keys coz of immobiliser ,a piaggio dealer fix tho have seen a guy in london advertising it for 75quid ,1/4 of what a dealer charges, so if buying 1 its a must to get all keys ,3 ,2 normals an a master key.apart from that his was reliable even tho neglected an thrashed an serviced by a rip-off dealer with second hand parts .only major thing was the protection underneath was nothing an it rusted faster than you could weld in this sea-air .so a underpaint an waxoyl/rust cure is a must if ya thinking of keeping it any time. am i mixing up a gts with another type or are you thinking of going "auto" rab .or is a gts geared? .Henri

i think its auto doesn't bother me its going to be a work horse thanks for heads up on keys tho H he wants roughly 2k for it i know there about 4k new and its only a couple of years old and in mint condition upgraded pipe back rest front rack

most of em get aftermarket pipes on them, the standard is a restricted semi-catylitic 1 , havent ridden a gts but a lx an there similar engines/performance i think . it was nippy in town an fast of the line coz of auto,no gear changes ,an did give my left wrist a rest .didnt do any long journeys on it as it was missus's an just run in , but reckon it would be comfortable cruising on a roads , not really a motorway mile-muncher type. apart from keys ,the service history ,specially the first 500 mile 1 ,as thats when a good dealer should grease n adjust all cables/bearings an such like an a lot dont .an a thorough poke underneath for rust/corrosion/holes as the newer piaggio's can rust quick from stone chip damage . an if ya do get it i'd reccomend shortening the engine oil an filter changes to every 5000 or even 3000miles , theres not a lot of oil an filters are about 5 quid ,it will prolong engine life 2-3 times .Henri
