Can the plastic covers on the front shock be removed? I am fairly sure I did this before but I can't bring myself to go out in the pouring rain to have a look in the shed I guess they are there for a reason so is it recommended to remove them or not? I only mean for looks reasons, remove the covers and have the spring powder coated etc.

i think the covers keep the crude out i junked my old knackard shocks and replaced them with sebac one's they not only cost about the same but look better and bike rides better

Does it ride firmer on the Sebacs? I fancy doing that conversion, wish they came in plain black or siler thou

I agree, not sure the red & white goes with my colour scheme. They do chrome sebac ones on beedspeed but they are lots of money, and again I am not really a chromy kind of guy.

Does it ride firmer on the Sebacs? I fancy doing that conversion, wish they came in plain black or siler thou the old one's where well knackard so they are alot firmer compared ;D, the rides not hard and rear is ajustable for preload and the colour go's well with my union jack seat
