hi dodger-if your wanting a pristine resto job(and can afford it!) i would say chislespeed in barwick-in-elmete,near leeds,if on the other hand your wanting a resonable job,at resonable cost,i would be willing to do it,i would do the spannering, and a mate would strip it back and paint it

as some of you know ive got an 03 plate gilera runner 125,i bought it in bits and its erm-still in bits!!!!!-its got delivery mileage on it,the guy who bought it originally had it kitted up,went out on it and came off it!!-hes ok but the scoot was immediatly traded in,then the dealer who took it in part ex stripped it down hopin 2 flog the parts off it.He sold the odd bit but otherwise its been stood since till i bought it a few month ago-well bit by bit im re-building it,bought a few bits ie-malossi cdi, light lenses etc,but have been concentratin on the panel brightwork,im hopin to have a few pics shortly, and when ive got them i'll post e few on ere.Oh and its gonna be a 180cc(4 stroke)but keepin the 125 gearing.

hi everybody-I'm afraid the time has come for me to make a life changing decision, this isn't very easy for me but i do feel that i should share my thoughts with you.The time has come for me to move on to................."THE DARKSIDE" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,I'm so sorry but i have no alternative as due to a hand injury sustained some years ago my left hand is no longer up-to the job of changing gears.Further more the scooter Ive bought isn't an auto vespa-but a gilera runner. On a serious note,i understand that this site is called "vespa.org"-so with me no longer owning a vespa i wondered how my membership of said "forum"stands?-take care peeps, hope to hear from you soon.

parts fare about as good a place as any to look for a console-if you get hold of one let me know will ya as my son is wantin one,and a utah type flyscreen,so he can take a cast off one, make a mould, and reproduce them(he works in the grp industry)

rubber ones are easier to put on-some others require a flaring tool to put one on,but the one i think your on about is a little thin plastic type, which really want puting in a big plastic type thing-ie the bin!!!!

hi mate,my local mot station does say that any lights fitted must be working and in good order,i dont think the mirrors are an issue as are the crashbars,is it an option 2 take them+lights etc off 4 the mot?-then pop em back on.Other things 4 the mot are very much common sense things ie-brakes,tyres,lights,wheel bearings, indicators etc.As far as brakes r concerned they actually weigh your scoot b4 they put it on a rolling brake tester, with your scoot havin all the lights etc your brakes will have to b in good order, usually the brakes have to be workin 27% of there capacity to pass, but i wud imagine with the extra weight they might require a little more from yours.

not sure on this 1,but if it was the float thats sticking, would it not do it all the time?-id go for a cracked float, thats probably filling with fuel, then because its full its not rising to stem the flow of fuel while your at the lights, then when it stalls its flooding.

should be an easy repair,as long as you dont mind getin your hands dirty!!,sound like its the cable,or speedo drive. To be honest ive never done one on the et's,but if its a similar setup to runners etc it should be easy.
