Hi all bit of a strange problem,my px starts no problem, ticks over fine and runs fine.however after say 10 mins it dies.when this happens there is no spark but lights come on when kicked over so i,m guessing the stator is fine? After say 30 mins it starts and goes through the cycle again. Cdi is new, blue one yellow wire is off as if I connect it it won,t start?stator been rewired due to fraying out of ideas now thankyou

Did wonder if they would be a perfect fit,at Scarborough at weekend so should be able to pick one up there.for diagnostic purposes it has eliminated the pinking etc Took head off yesterday and piston was a cookie dough colour as well as the head and plug so I,m quiet happy with that?slight play in piston left to right but I,m guessing there should be due the rings?no scoring or coking up though

Quick thank you for the help guys, stripped stator and found every wire bare corroded and falling to bits, early type stator, put a new one on and presto"'pinking gone runs well. Better top end but still going to remove head and have a look, reckon it will need decoking.

Well thought before I got the tools out today I would make most of the bit of sunshine we get and take the scoot for a blast. Two miles up the road got backfire and power loss, engine still running but only 30 max and rough but no backfire, until I turned my lights off and then got 35!!! However if I indicate or put an electrical load on it just pops and backfires and slows down even more.problem is it got dark just as I got home so would I be right in thinking stator fault or that it has moved at least, scoot still running on tick over fine no issues until under load

Hello Quick update.have replaced the stator coil lead and plug, cleaned carb still won't fire, poured fuel straight in the engine via carb still won't fire the fuel is just spraying out the exhaust.have spark.has an alarm fitted so could this cause no fire problem?

Hi need help with my 04 125 px. Had it a few months and it ran ok,then it cut out one day, restarted it and it was fine,,done this a few times at various rides but on last one it just died.pushed it home and got to work. I have a good spark, but put new coil on anyway. removed jets and although clear cleaned anyway, made sure fuel pipe was clear and running and it is,fuel filter clear.new plug new cap and lead.upon trying to start I have a few backfires but that's it. I have tried bump starting, kick starting and using the starter.nothing just won't fire? help thanks
