Hi H , ive tried another CDI and it was the same , the readings of the stator are good and the wiring is very good , it looks like a decent stator , normally id send it of to beedspeed and get it tested and rewired etc but since it was taken over im not even sure they do it or if they are any good , do you know ?? or does any one else do it

Hi Henry, just looking at your post BELOW just sorted a dr kit . my jetting ended up as stock pilot, be5 atomiser , 116 main,140 air jet . that was with a 20/20 carb an simmoni pipe,so should be similar ,it was a bit hesitant at 3/4 throttle but drilling the filter cured that . H Read more: vespa.proboards.com/thread/6569/desperate-help-needed#ixzz4pChu4CFI can you tell me what jet you would have used without drilling the filter and how may sizes you typically go up after drilling

hi guys i have an issue with a leaking late internal seal and i believe it can be fixed with an external corosponding /correct seal to the hub on the engine 30 or 27mm but is it as easy as taking out the dust cover and putting the seal in? thanks in advance

a mate asked me today if he needs a rebore as his scooter has done 25,000 , i always rebored mine at 20,000 and went up a piston size , what are your guys thoughts , i know you can measure the bore or ring gap etc but wondered what you think

if you have the reg , you should be able to get the V5 as the guys say , i have had one where they asked me for the frame number before issuing the log book , i had bad numbers and i was told the number i sent was wrong but when i rang up the guy told me i was one number out , i asked which one was wrong he told me the 4th one then said if it was a 3 not an 8 id be spot on LOL i reapplied and got it , LMOA

you will need to split the casings either way, you can do it in the bike! but if your going to the trouble of a split , id take it out to make sure you can see the seal as it goes in right , i dont like doing them, in the bike as you can get dirt and bits of the frame contaminating the engine , either way jet wash the engine first ,

you can do it with just a clutch castle tool your flywheel should have a circlip built in whicjh acts as puller , its a fairly big job but nt hard

i had a pair of Italia rims and couldnt get a S1 to pop over the rim and sit right , so i inflated to 50/55psi and gave them a bounce , when i looked at them they had a 3mm gaps on the inside of the rim where the rims bolted to the hub , i called the dealer and he said deflate them bolt them on the hub and reinflate LMAO as they had done the same !! quality parts !!

the plastic one can be very easy but i have had some nighmares where ive thrown it away too , if the headset is off its much easier one way of doing it and it works is ive ended up cutting it in two before now (in the middle) at the top with a sharp knife and fitting the sides seperate you have to push it together but its not very noticable , the metal ones are always a little off but they usually go on and do look better , just dont be tempted to bang them on to hard as they will mark the paint and spring back a little if your not careful , use some masking tape if you can , good luck

when i transport any scooter on a trailer , best advice is to stop it moving forwards i put the front wheel in a 45 degree triangle slot that the wheel fits into either side of the wheel , so it cant move sideways and push the bike tight to the front of the trailer then i use a luggage elastic on the stand to the fork so the stand cant go up , then a strap from the side of the trailer over the seat hinge with the seat up i wrap this twice round the hinge twice leaning it slightly to the first side , then tighten it to the other side , this stops it ever falling over im sure there are many ways of doing this but ive done over 20 big trips like this and never had a disaster yet , ,
