Morning all Does anyone know if a standard PX crankshaft is a straight swap with a standard lml crankshaft Reedvalve engine ?

Think I’m just going to get it dipped then polish it up with wet and dry paper then get it clear coated, not worried much about any dents etc, it’s quite a decent frame anyway . Is clear coat as durable as paint ?

Hello all , has anyone stripped a frame back to bare metal ? I’m doing this with an LML I’ve got , going to polish it up and have it clear coated , any tips appreciated 👍

Just fitted a DR 177 kit to my scooter, LML star,I'm running it with a standard exhaust at the moment, it does have a lot more torque at low revs over the standard 125 cylinder, as you'd expect, the only downside up to now is the noise , it sounds almost like a Diesel engine, I've read that this is because of the large piston to barrel clearance , pulls away in 2nd gear 2 up now!! I got the kit from the Italian supplier mentioned above , £96 delivered, took 5 days, bargain. Fingers crossed the LMLs crank is up to it, there has been some issues with them in the past.

Check your local Tescos, the one in Stretford are selling 1 litre bottles of castrol power 1 2t oil for £2 , they should be £8.50!!!

Hello all This is my first post, I've had had a few scooters over the years, I've not got a Vespa at the moment, I've got an LML Star 125 2t, in fact my last 3 scooters have been LMLs, I'm always on the look out for a cheap Vespa to restore, but as you all probably know they're few and far between, I mean CHEAP ones !! Im going to be putting a 150 barrel on my scooter soon and maybe a different crankshaft, other than that keeping it standard ( de-restricted).I ride my scooters all year round and use it for everything, commuting, shopping ect, so it gets well used. I try to do any work myself and I've picked up a few tips off here in the past. Great forum, cheers, Paul.
