Once again went to buy something from a stall today at Gingers and had to stop myself due to the stall selling Neo Nazi sh1te. I refuse to buy anything from someone selling this crap whether they buy into it or not. This sh1te is for fukwits and has no place on a scooter rally.
If this crosses a line and needs to be deleted, so be it. It needed to be said.

It was a chrome 'Vespa' badge. The sidepanels never came in a chrome option, so they will have been chromed at a later date and it seems the badge hasn't been replaced. You might be able to find a badge in a contrasting colour if you don't want chrome on chrome.

Yes, you will need the full rim with tyre and innertube. Presumably you're talking about the mounting under the near side panel, if so you should find a couple of studs for the fully inflated wheel to hang on there. Two nuts and it's fitted. The plastic cover that you often see hanging below the sidepanel has a single bolt that goes through the lowest hole of the rim, but that's optional. The wheel is just as secure without. Other covers are available that stretch over the full wheel, many with extremely tasteless designs.

Any scooter shop should be able to get them. I would suggest asking the nearest scooter shop to you. Keep them in business, you never know when you will need them.

Hi Neil and welcome, I've never heard a bad word about them, but can't offer any more than that and seeing that you haven't had any takers, you will get a better response on modernvespa.com It's predominantly US based but there's lots of Brit GTS owners on there who will give good advice. This place is aimed more at, though not exclusively, traditional geared Vespas. Best of luck

You can and should use the ACF-50. It will the collect dirt over winter, but your scoot will be happy and rust free when you clean it off next spring.

Most bike tyres need to be scrubbed as far as I know, but not so much on a scooter, I've never felt that it was necessary, they should be good to go. I'd be very alarmed if it's the front that's skidding under braking. It is quite normal for the rear to skid if you slam on the back brake as the normal weight over the wheel is shifted forward as the centre of gravity shifts. This is why most people say that braking should be 70% front and 30% back for safe efficient stopping.
Again, I would be very concerned if the front is skidding as you won't be staying upright for long if that's the case.

Your post in the intro section says you have no compression on the kick start, but presumably it runs ok when you bump it? Sounds like your clutch cable could do with some adjustment. There should be an adjuster at the bottom end where the cable comes out of the frame. Try slackening it off a bit there.

Personally I'd stick with the SAE 30 Rock oil. Just Googled it and Amazon have it for under a tenner with free delivery and Scooterrestorations.com have it for £5.50 a bottle but with a daft delivery price of £5.71. Might be worth it if you buy a few bottles though.

Check that the two allen headed bolts that hold the caliper on are tight and maybe put a smear of copper based grease on the back of the pads.

Hi and welcome.
Go for a PX or T5 and you won't go far wrong. You need to steer clear of VBBs and the like, particularly when words like 'restoration' are attached. Lots of shiny crap out there which you will regret buying when it becomes clear what's beneath the paint. Post ads on here if you are unsure what you're buying and you will get good and honest advice.

I doubt you'd get one of the round ones in there. I have used a normal padlock before, there's enough room to get the shank behind the disc as long as it's a short shank type. One of those brightly coloured bungee things that fasten to the brake lever to remind you it's there is a must though.

There's also very little room between the disc and the wheel rim which means there aren't many about that will fit a PX. I couldn't find one anyway. Personally, I'd look for a grip lock which as well as locking the throttle, also applies the brake.

As far as I know, it's the same as the good looking one. The only differences are the red paint and the silly tailpipes that will hinder removal of the back wheel. You will probably need to upjet a bit more, I'd go up 4 and work back.

Seconded. I changed mine when the original got smashed (garage wall mounted cupboard fell on it. ). Piece of cake to do as well, just remember not to touch the bulb. You could try a damp cloth and some toothpaste on the speedo glass and give it a good McBuff. It works with small scratches as the toothpaste is a mild abrasive, but other than that, not sure about replacing it.
