Does anybody have any tips for setting up a polini 177 kit?
It comes with a sip road exhaust, px200 24.24 delorto carb, polini barrel, head and piston etc etc. It also has 3 more main jet sizes with it.
Thanks, Ali

lol i can easily believe that! Got any pictures of her?
yeah i've seen some nice green vespas with red shocks on actually. I'm having the secondary colour as black, got a black mudguard crest, suspension arm cover, stand and pm tuning brake levers on the way, probably get the seat cushion the same as well. Thinking about having a yellow caliper from sip too and a matching flywheel, got the transparent flywheel cover on the way so should be quite visible.

ahh I am actually thinking of going with a bright green! Probably with black as the contrast colour.
Trouble is when the bike is in pieces it's hard to picture what it will look like when it's done, I find.

So how fast do you think you were going all those years ago?
I'm the same with cameras, either slow down way too much or follow someone else if there around!

ah I think that's just copper grease. not a bad shout to go round and lube stuff up though.
I recently changed my speedo worm gear because it was mashed which has made the speedo work however the speed is wrong, you guys got any tips?
One guy told me a should just accept the speedo doesn't work because something is always broken on a vespa, so if i fix it something serious might go wrong lol

How about a rear facing camera mickingle? Then you could mount a screen somewhere up front..

haha yes yes I am the big titty. It's annoying me not knowing if any old bill are behind me when I want to give it some ( Giving it some up to the relevant speed limit, of course) however the fact my bloomin speedos packed up again doesn't help either!
I'm afraid your gonna have to wait on the scooter porn because we had a problem with our new camera not turning on just after we bought it so sent it back for it too be fixed, they've sent it back only problem is they forgot to put the battery back in the camera!
Nice bike too man I like the backrest, do you actually use it?! Are they indicators on the front of the blinged up one I see you've changed 'em? Agreed about the chrome mudguard bumps too.

Hey sime, yeah I sorted the leak, well it wasn't actually a leak I unscrewed the looking glass because I was curious. Dont worry ive got a nice pile of dirty rags building up on the floor! Cheers for the guide as well I used this method too upload an event picture! Weird thing was I went onto photobucket and I already had an account with some pictures on...
Mirrors are on their way henri lol - but only two! along with a new cover with the holes for em in. Think I will leave the mat off it's nice to have it minimal. Well there's two directions i may go in - rear rack with spare wheel and a flag, some accessories but not fully modded out, or the less is more approach with everything nice and clean, nice paint job, wheels etc. And a sweet ass racing seat!

Cheers for the how-to-lube advice too, I found a funnel I use to top my car up with oil. Just before I stuck it on I said to myself ' I can't use this it's covered in oil' ....

So the other day my scooter failed it's MoT because the horn was too quiet. I assumed the horn was on it's way out and went ahead and bought a new one. However when I fitted the new horn it was also too quiet! I checked the connections and the (visible!) wiring which did not show up any faults. I then did a bit of online research and found out that possibly the battery has too be in for the horn to be loud.
Earlier in the week I removed my battery to check it because the electric start wasn't working. Low and behold I did a voltage test and the voltage was lower than it should've been. I then did a drop test and the needle went straight to zero. Remember when testing a battery the voltage may be ok but this does not mean the battery is good. You have to also do a drop test with a battery tester to really test the battery.
Anyway I fitted a new battery and now the horn is loud and the electric start works - woohoo. (Even when the bike had no battery before but was actually running, this did not help and the horn was too quiet.)
So if your horn is too quiet make sure your battery is in good condition!

Thanks for your help sbwnik, I've got some copper grease so I'll clean the oil off and replace it with some of that.
As for the cable I'll try lubing for a few more days and if I get no improvement looks like it's a new cable. Have you got a good technique for lubing the cable? I was using a funnel and just trying to aim as best as possible!Sslightly messy but I think I got some oil in there!
Thanks vespasco I'll check out the carb slide. Is there anything you can do to improve this, grease the mechanism etc.?
Cheers again.
