Could it be the bearing?

There is a high chance of rubbing wiring somewhere, considering its all been moved around during the rebuild! One of the cables was trapped between the top cover of the handles bars and the metal beneath which caused the electric start button not to work, I think it was shorting out, the fuse wasn't blowing but the button wouldn't work, could be related. Thanks for the help.

Just searched up on google and found this www.vespagenuineparts.co.uk/component-vespa... I know it's for a different vespa but it lists number 1 as being a rem control switch which looks like a relay, so it could be one of the relays that lives behind the battery on a PX. Still haven't investigated this problem.

Pretty sure I'm using a brown 7.5 amp fuse, need to check when I get home. This could be the reason then, I'll check the manual out see if it says what rating I need. Cheers H

Hi guys,
I can start my bike once on the electric start, ride for a while, stop and then when I go to start again - the fuse has blown. Any ideas what's causing this please? Also, what actually runs on this circuit?
Thanks, Ali

Set up was at half 10 Henri, Judging at half 11 and trophys at half 12. I got there at 10:25 and was one of the last ones to get there. I guess you've got to arrive pretty damn early to get up the front, could give you a better chance being up the front.

Thanks for the help Henri. I may have drilled holes further inbound for the clip at the end of the tube instead of shimming to take up the slack.. i will hopefully get round to looking at that after I've fixed the kickstart and/ or the electric start - been bump starting since both failed within a day of each other..

Here's the link for the mirror Loon-e Right Hand Left Hand
Don't expect to see a lot out of them though, they vibrate so much it's a right challenge to figure out if someone's behind you! Here's another set I was looking at as well, a bit more going on with these ones. Right Hand Left Hand

Used the panel rubbers and it actually came out alright. Will upload pictures soon either in this post or the build thread. Put the cushion on and it looks good but I can tell there is gonna be a comfort issue in the near future - oh well in the battle between style and comfort, style was always gonna win this one.

Just put this on my bike and to be honest the fit is terrible. Has anyone got any experience/ techniques on how to get a good fit? www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/sport+seat+sip+evo+for+vespa+_31080000I've seen some people put a rubber seal around it to cover the massive panel gap and ONCE I've seen it flush (which was on the sip show bike). Any ideas on what would be a good seal to use, I'm thinking of using a few side panel rubbers. It catches on the fuel cap and the fuel sender cover, which isn't a massive problem as I can file a gap but it will still catch on the edge of the fuel tank, and I'm not taking the tank out, emptying it and then grinding the excess away. Thanks, Ali

It would be a hell of a lot easier to adjust the mixture screw if it wasnt there
Oh and once youve sooted the hell out of a plug are you best off sticking a new one in or can you save it??
Cheers
