good to hear you've mastered the take off, whats the other thing you need sorting ,new piaggio's are supposed to have a 500mile first service is that it,as with info n help on here you could do it yourself an save the cash for petrol or good gloves n waterproofs ,as the summers shaping up to be a wet 1. sorry everybody ,my feud with god is getting out of hand,he's not waiting til I get my helmet on anymore an starting to rain when he knows ive got to ride.like today ,60 miles an its pouring down.that its also a bank holiday is just a bonus . an sorry nic ,but have never been to san fransisco ,living in brighton an seeing the pride parade every year means ive got a fair enuff idea what the clubs there would be like.but stand by my simile/statement that drunk scooterists can throw the craziest shapes/dance moves ive ever witnessed.havent worked out why scoots do this to people yet tho, H Actually, while you're asking The he clutch is biting higher than when I first had it, is it an easy job to adjust? Having read a few things on here the cable will stretch after a few miles, it could do with just that little adjustment.

It's nothing major, the crash bar on the front need fixing to the scooter that's all, it's fixed on the front but not underneath by my left foot. I'll take it up to them, giving me a nice excuse to have a mooch around the shop.

I'm pretty sure it was me being a new rider, I've had an hour or so out today and it seems a lot more smooth now., I will take it up to the place I bought it from when I get chance as they have to sort something else out for me.

ive never seen anything in a legshield mirror i'm afraid gaz ,apart from my own eye when doing fly removal. dont reckon bar end 1's much either, could be my lanky build or shortsightedness ,lammy 1's that fit on the lever pivot bolts are reckoned ok by a few mates of mine, but havent seen 1's made or converted to vespa's yet .were ever you put them, vibration makes em hard to see anything more than a vague shape,H il report back after ive tried one on the vespa mate,,my dads seem to work fine and a few lads in the club have mentioned there alright so ive got to give it ago as i really dont like the look of mirrors on the headset the one my dad has clamps on with thick rubber, not sure if there all like this but it seems to do the job,,,not after much just a quick glance before i overtake another scoot because theres always a gts flying up the line, lol Have you had any success with these? I'm thinking of getting the same and loosing the original mirrors.

Hi, welcome. I'm also like you, loved the scene but took a long time to get the wheels. I joined the board not long ago, but everyone is very friendly and extremely helpfull with any tips and info.
im sure I saw an indie band called suedehead in the early to mid 90's, would that be the same?
Love the scooter too.

I went out for a good run this morning, I think it was just the fact that I'm not giving it enough revs, gave it more today and it seemed fine, I think I was just reluctant to give it some Welly. Thanks for your help.
i will return with soon with more questions I dare say.

I'm in Dudley, West Mids. There are a few clubs local to me. I'm originally from Walsall where a new pub called 'Scooters' has opened. You can find them on Facebook, they have some fine nights and days there.

Thanks for the pointers, I've not had chance to get out on it tonight, weather permitting Saturday morning will be spent putting in some miles and if I'm being honest, more practice.
i have to admit, I've not had so much fun as when I'm on that scooter.

A 61 plate won't have reserve. They're just off and on. It may also be the clutch cable needs tightening, 79km says 'cable bedding in' to me. It is pretty clunky when going into 1st and does clunk when changing gear. I did my CBT on an old T5, although very tatty to look at it was really smooth to ride.

So it's as simple as give it more revs?
What would putting it to reserve do? Sorry if this is basic stuff.....
the he previous owner had a none scooter accident and is still undergoing treatment so can't ride it. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be able to get it.

I went out for a little ride tonight, at first it was fine but after about 20 minutes or so and every now and again, when I went to pull away in first the engine just died. Now I will confess that I only passed my CBT on Sunday and tonight was my first ride out, but I know the difference between stalling and the engine dying. My PX is on a 61 plate and has only done 79km, does it just need time to run in or am I missing something really obvious.
yhis is my first ever scooter and I'm an absolute novice at this stuff.
I would be grateful for any pointers.
Cheers, Ian.

I've got to build the pot up some more before I start to add to it. It will undoubtably happen though

Can I just put in my two penneth about the Vespa/LML subject. I've only recently bought my first scooter, after looking and missing out on a fair few I couldn't decide between the two. I ended up with the PX, but only because it was to good to refuse. I like both makes and would never be put off an LML.

Hi all, I'm very new to the scooter scene, I've wanted to own one for years and now have finally found the one. It was owned previously by a fella that unfortunately had an accident (not on the scooter) shortly after buying it, a couple of years later he's had to part with it. It's only done 64km and I just had to have it. Gets delivered tomorrow and can't wait to get out and enjoy it.
