Have decided to "borrow" the money for a new clutch from the wife's birthday fund. just need to sort out the throttle issue now which is so stiff and restricted i struggle to get away from junctions/lights etc. The throttle will move a quarter turn and no further unless i really give it a yank then still dont get much more out of it. all new cables have been fitted during the rebuild and have tried it even with the top off but no better, also have to physically move the throttle forward to shut it off which takes time to respond. any ideas on this anybody??

Hi Guys,
well i learn something new each time i come on here, didnt realise the T5 4th was the same but do now.
sime: i tried a 21 tooth clutch that my pal had and it did give me a bit more but didnt really push it as was running in at the time. Went to Berwick rally at the weekend and with the 20 tooth she sat at 55MPH no problem and was brilliant on the inclines, all that whilst having a knackered throttle as i only get about a quarter of a turn and have to force it to get up to half a turn!!! but that is ANOTHER issue i will have to try and suss out. she has just come back from the painters so scooter money is tight at the minute but once i have enough i will be purchasing a new clutch with at least a 21 tooth cog.

Hi all,
i am planning a ride from Gateshead to London in July and was thinking as it will be taking in dual carriageways for the majority of the journey, will it be worth installing a T5 4th gear for the trip?
running a PX125 with DR180 kit and standard gearing.
Cheers

Hi All,
i expect this has already been covered but here goes any way. i am wanting to remove the auto lube from my PX with Dr180 kit so i can premix, is there anything that needs changing or can i just pull the pipe and block up the hole on the carb box?
thanks in advance.

saw this in the flesh at scarborough although as H says it is very busy it is a quality paint job and is "ridden not hidden" according to the owner. There were plenty of fine examples there and plenty of ale drunk as well!!

I am in no rush to get them painted as these on the scooter are fit for the bin so doesnt matter if they get any rustier. should have mine back by the end of the week so will post some pics of the finished article.

hi H, it is a combination of filler and bare metal which the previous owner was in the process of stripping. i have a spare set in good nick that just need painting so will put those on when weather warms up enough to get them painted.

hahaha hi H my rantings as a male chauvinist pig were purely bravado as the wife who rules me with a rod of iron was not looking over my shoulder at the time!! To be honest she is so laid back and whatever makes me happy makes her happy and vice versa.

i have mine in for painting at the moment and the wife is fully behind any decision i make on spending her hard earned money, as long as i take her to the rallies this year. A small price to pay i think as i will now have someone to carry the beer.

hi Guys,
surely it is just a matter of telling her what you want and she obeys? think that is one of the wedding vows, if not then surely the marriage is a sham and she has never loved you from day one!!! just saying!!!

Hi Alex, I asked the very same question and was advised to steer clear. I looked into it a little further and by the time you have paid all the import duties etc etc it is cheaper to buy in this country and at least you can view and listen to it before you buy!!

hi H, not going to stress too much over the scoot at the minute as i have had to borrow £300 of his savings for my scooter with only minimal interest rate ( cheeky little sod after all i have done for him!!!!) so will keep looking and ask more questions of the owners before going to look at them as most of them would make a 20 year old barn find look brand new!!!
