Something has been bugging me about this post as it struck me earlier that the eBay lot was taken down after I posted the link on here. Hope it wasn't anybody on here trying to sell a lemon!

hi all,
does anybody know how easy it is to register a scooter that has no V5 or Vin no: seller says it was bought for salvage don't want to waste my time on it if it is going to be a chew on.
cheers in advance guys

I have looked at these and other tyres on the link above and other sites and they all seem to say "TL" (tubeless) does this mean they cannot be used with an inner tube? if so is there a link to a website that does tyres suitable with inner tubes or am I just being daft??

My god that is Ugly Vespasco might as well take the shock off and weld in a solid bar and paint it pink!! will have a look at the carbone shocks as never heard of those. looking to spend no more than £60-£70 tops really.

Not sure if this has already been covered, but I have recently replaced my front shock on my 84 PX as the front end was bottoming out every time I applied the front brake or hit a bump. this is still doing it so have put it down to the slightly excessive puppy fat I am carrying. what is the best shock to upgrade to stop this happening or do I need to give up drinking beer and enjoying myself!!

Hi Kidda,
i am running a 22 tooth on a DR180 kit and found this is a happy compromise. still get decent acceleration and gives me better cruising speed, may have lost a little pull on inclines but not much, as henri says a 23 may be too much especially on an up slope.

Cheers for that H and all. rode it after the incident as had a meeting so traveled with both ears trained for any unusual noises and all seemed ok. will take it to my mate at the weekend to look at. Is it a simple enough job to whip the side casing off or will it need a few hours to do. only transport i have at the minute!!

hi all,
when kicking over the old girl yesterday on the second kick i heard a clunk and the kick start has now dropped a couple of inches. i have checked to see if it has slipped around the spindle but it hasnt so can only assume it has jumped a couple of teeth inside. will this require taking the entire engine out to put right or can this be done with the engine still in the bike?
cheers
