hi Sime,
Top investigative work there mate. this will give me something to consider when I purchase the other components to go with my tank.

hi Guys,
yes Sime it is an LML tank which as you say has the 5 threaded holes for the metal sender surround. looking at it I don't think there is anyway the EFL 1/4 turn will fit. you may have made my mind up now though on the fuel tap as was undecided on whether to go sip fast flow or BGM equivalent. the BGM may work better for the low fuel light. and H you are right about accuracy the only time my fuel gauge is correct is when I fill it right up but 10 miles down the road it starts flapping side to side like a weeble on acid. best guide is currently when light comes on I have roughly (depends how I am riding etc) 12 miles till I have to push it!!

Cheers Sime
Will be fitting a sip electronic speedo over the winter so will need to check to see if that is ok with the LML sender.

Hi Gang,
I have purchased a new fuel tank without the autolube bottle as I have done away with mine. the question is will the LML sender unit work on my EFL loom/speedo? noticed it is different on the new sender to the old plastic one. any ideas?

I have been having a discussion with a mechanic friend of mine who has assured me if I buy a write off that cannot be put back on the road as the same bike, this can be chopped and be reused as a unique one off build and given a new number plate/V5 etc. anybody else know if this is correct?

Cheers H,
just need the boy to get his finger out now and start saving to pay for it. if doing it on a scoot does that restrict you for 2 years before riding anything bigger?

Hi H,
that's interesting to know I didn't realise you could do it on a scoot. what are the speeds required to hit and is there strip long enough to stop a drum braked scoot on the emergency stop test. lol

I thought it could be h but didn't know if that would explain why the idle screw when adjusted didn't make any difference.

hi Ben,
I may be wrong here but will you not have to do you CBT on a 125 geared bike to be able to ride a geared scooter above 50cc, just trying to think back to when my son done his I am sure that was the case. may be worth checking!

hi Guys,
new 200 piston etc fitted with 125 main jet and the other jets are standard 200, scorpion exhaust fitted starts and runs but wont idle and the idle screw when turned makes no difference. any ideas? idle screw is set currently at around 2 1/2 turns.

hi Sime,
sailed from North Shields to Amsterdam then a 70 mile journey to the Rally. North Shields is only 5 mile from where I live so that's the easy bit. took 7 hours to get to the rally as we took the coastal route and had multiple stops in small towns on the way and one extended stop whilst my clutch cable was replaced by my willing assistant!! other than that we just had the rain to contend with 10 miles away from the rally.
