Thanks all for the comments and advice. I'm getting a friend to fit the engine and the SIP is on the way with a couple of main jets. Everything else is standard on the bike. From reading the threads people are dating to adjust the timing. What do you think about that.

A friend has mentioned about the BGM pro exhaust. Any thoughts?

Would I got more top end out of the SIP than standard then. Do you know roughly how much? And general consensus is to go with a bigger main jet. Somewhere around 122-125

Do you get much more speed?

Yes standard. Yes to keeping it that way. SIP all the way then

Hello all. I'm sure this has been asked many times.
I have a px125 and will be replacing the engine for a standard px200 (elec start and Autolube)
My question is which would be the best performance exhaust to fit to the 200 lump and what are the benefits.
Thank you

One vespa speedo and one relay later I have found the fault. It was neither of them. After putting the relay in it still didn't work. So pulled the horn cover off (again) Low and behold I saw a little wire loose in the main block terminal. Pushed it back in and hey presto everything works.

Do you think it could be dodgy relay. As all wiring looks fine.

Changed the speedo for new. Still the same fault. This is what I have. - all indicators work regardless - green indicator lights on speedo don't work - when fuel gets low and orange warning light is on the green flashing indicator light work - whenever indicators are on the fuel gauge drops slightly.

Hello everyone
I posted on here a few days ago about my indicator fault.
They all work but the flashing green light on the instrument panel don't work and when I am indicating the fuel gauge drops. When the fuel is low the green light works when the fuel level light is illuminated. I thought it was the PCB on the instrument panel so bought a new one. £97 later and new part fitted. Still have same fault.
Does anybody have any ideas on where to go next.

I have a px125 with a 177 kit, up jetted, reinforced Cosa clutch and my cruising speed is about 55mph.
I would have thought a p200 would have been a lot quicker.

Would this cause the gearbox to sieze?
How much do think I should be looking at to fix?

Been told it's petrol.
Recently bike has come to a full stop when doing about 55. Not done this before. I thought it was I soft sieze.

Hello all
I have a PX125 and I have been to that the gear oil is contaminated.
Can anybody tell me what causes this and what could happen in prolonged use.
I am obviously going to get it sorted but have to wait until I get paid.

Is there a way of opening this in proboards. When I search for vespa.org.uk. It does not find it.

Getting quite a bit of knocking from engine. I suspect it might be the bearings. Also got fuel leaking into gearbox.

Does anybody know how much it generally costs for an engine/gearbox strip and rebuild?

Hello I have a 2007 vespa px125. I have installed a Polini 177 kit, Simonimi exhaust and had the jetting professionally adjusted.
I am now considering up gearing. Don't really want to do the T5 4th gear option.
Somebody has advised me to upgrade cluth basket and primary drive to 21 teeth.
My question is what sort of difference would this make. Or what would you recommend.

Hello I have a 2007 vespa px 125. All of a sudden I have a fault with the indicators. They work but the indicator light on the steering next to the speedo does not. However when I was low on fuel the other day the indicated light started to flash when the orange fuel light came on. Does anybody have any pointers. Attachments:

Thanks for the help. Really do appreciate it. I will get it booked in. Do you think I should be able to get more than 55 out of it?
Cheers

So you recommend 1- get the jetting checked 2-get timing checked/adjusted.
Would any bike garage be able to do this

I thought to much fuel would cause that ie to much fuel causing heat.
But then I am a novice to the scoot world

Would the wrong jetting cause my scoot to seize at 55mph?

Found the code. 222/R
Google it but can only find 222/A midnight blue.
