We're all different, hence this topic includes rideouts. Some people enjoy the interaction with other scooterists enjoying common interests and stimulate thought provoking ideas. Why have scooter rallies where people can enjoy each others company and discuss scooters and the scene? You obviously enjoy being on your own - good luck to you.

Craig,
Thanks for the information mate, thats very interesting. Can you point me in the right place for authoritative literature on the subject?
I have just purchased a 1959 Vespa 150 Clubman, hence the interest. By the way, could you advise a rich source of information regarding this model - would help me in restoration.
Cheers

Why not?
An excuse for a collective rideout. A mutal location of interest. A change from the seaside? An opportunity to visit other London attractions. And........maybe (obviously not yourself) people might just be interested in where some of the scenes were shot, but there again, there is Clacton pier and the one reamining amusement park! ;D

Hi,
I believe there is a planned rideout to the cafe in London where scenes from Quadrophenia were filmed, sometime in July. I also understand that the cafe is soon to be demolished/converted and the plan was to visit the cafe prior to its bleak future taking shape!
Does anybody know of the date, as I think it has changed?
Cheers

Hi Guys,
New to the forum.
I have just purchased a very old Vespa 150, and somebody in its distant past has 'hacked' off a couple of inches off the top of the legshields.
Is there any way at all to repair the damage by welding/riveting a piece back in, or am I looking at replacing the legshields (which are as common as unicorn horns!).
Many Thanks for your time
