Hi all. New year and new dumb post! I've recently acquired a TX200. Before selling my PX200 I want to take the 80's king and queen seat of and put it on the TX, however, the TX has a bridge lock instead of spike at the back, although there is a round recess which looks like a spike could be fitted if drilled out. Does anyone know if this can be done, swap OX seat to T5 frame? If do are they any tips on what I need to do. Cheers all, and happy new year. Pink

Dont know. But I can say that the 80s king and queen seat is the best seat I've ever parked my arse on. Plus it's longer than the repro king and queen seats.

If you get a real thin cutting disc, and if you're careful, you could cut the bracket off and keep it if you ever want to put it back to stock. Then drill the hole for the spike, but get the spike first. I think there's 2 different sizes???

The bracket bolts on so not a problem, and got a spare spike, was just concerned where to drill hole as k&q seat is shorter than TX one.

Is it definitely an 80s king and queen seat? They are definitely longer than the new ones, I just can't get to mine in the shed... Thought it would be such a great idea to hang them up on the back wall.... 😩

T5 seats are lomger than PX seats. If you still wish to swap, it may look strange, but everyone to their own 😉. Can't remember if the seat lock pliller was moved on the T5 frame, compared to the PX frame?
If it was, it may be easier to make a plate to bolt the seat lock piller to, and bolt the plate to the frame using the holes and bolts (2) that hold the back of the fuel tank in place. I have also seen people cutting off the part of rear racks that hold the piller and bolt to the fuel tank holding bolts to use instead of a metal plate.

I had no idea mij. I nearly bought a T5 a few years back but I got outbid by 200 quid (went for £700 in the end) I generally thought they were the same minus the lump and frond end.... 🤔

ironsloth, they are a px frame, with the "square tail" back end, spot welded on, giving the need for a longer seat. Still can't remember if they moved the seat piller though, 😂. My mate has a restorable complete, mark1 T5, in pieces laying outside his garage! Will try and have a look, he also has another complete one it his garage, with about 4 other scoots. but don't know what day he's back from the USA, I do know it's this month he's home, though.
