Malossi 166, 26 fast flow and fast flow tap, rotary valve PX engine, bogging down and won’t tick over when the throttle is blipped? Higher revs is fine but blipping or pulling it back quick it will bog down and sometimes cut out? Riding for awhile it will cut out like a lack of fuel? Tried all sorts! Any ideas?
New carb, new carb gaskets, head and base gasket are sealed. Tried another carb and still the same.
Flywheel oil seal leaking?
Thanks for any help!

It sounds lean at the bottom end, have you tried richening it up with the mixture screw. What's it set at now?

Check the rings aren't stuck to the piston.

Rings are new Mij, put a new cylinder kit onto it.
Mixture screw is set at 2 turns out, if I remember correct Spaco carbs are more turns then Delly?
Put a leaner idle jet in, seems to have got rid of the bogging when it blipped, a little.
Also, tried two batteries, one new but won’t keep charge. Is it possible the side stand is draining the battery? Was told to keep it upright, that’s all.

If it was a 125 prior to the mods the bottom end jetting would probably be pretty lean. You would be safer to go slightly too rich with a new kit as the main danger of nipping up is coming off full throttle to lower rev jetting which is too lean.

Never heard of battery draining because it's on the side stand. Normally using a side stand causes the carb to flood , thus making it hard to start, Bud. Mij☺
