Hi all. i'm brand new to owning a scooter and have bought a PX which is currently SORN. The electric start wasn't working at all when i get the scooter cos the battery was flat. Charged it up and the electric start worked a treat, but its stopped working again and now sounds like it's trying. I've checked the battery and it's fully charged. My first question is, will i need the electric start working to pass the MOT? Second, any ideas on how to fix it?
Big thanks, Poolie

Kick start is fine for MOT. Get the MOT in your mitts, ride the bike and enjoy the sunshine. Then worry about the starter, probably a bad earth or the switch. Welcome.

Only need the battery for the horn, otherwise it sounds like a duckling sh*tting out a cactus....

When my starter played up it was a simple loose connection , the one with the rubber boot at the bottom of starter . Try all simple stuff first ! Cheers .
