Other than taking a hacksaw to these has anyone got any idea how to remove them without damaging pipes and cables.
I tried to unscrew mine on each side of the handlebars on a 2008 PX125 and cannot because of other bits and pieces in the way.
Any ideas ??

I think it is a headset top off and remove, then buy the blanking plugs for the holes, did mine years ago, i don`t think you need to completely remove the headset top just undo bolts holding it on and pull up, there was, I think enough play in wires/speedo cable etc to remove mirror mounts.

Hello. When I removed mine I had to slide the handlebar tube clear. plan an afternoon to do it as it's a poxy job that should be easy. Remove gear/ throttle cam, Release the wiring and poke it through the end of the tube so you can slide it out far enough to unscrew the mirror mount. then reverse the procedure stopping every 15 minuted to have a Beer and fag to calm your nerves down a bit. the best bit is trying to put the split pin back through the cam and hole in the handlebar. you'll be glad you only have to do this job the once.

Photograph attached finally - can you see the problem ? Unscrewing the bolts simply come up against the tubes. I think the only way to do it is to move the tubes along and then unscrew the bolts. Not an easy job though as indicator wires on one side. May considering cutting through the bolt but leaving some its shape in case I do need to remove properly at a later time.

Throttle side easy, just remove the tube.
Gear side, take the horncast off unclip the indicator connector and pull the tube off sufficiently to remove the mirror clamp. Whilst ensuring you're not putting undue stress on the indicator sub loom.
