Hi all. My PX starts up no problem. Choke out and fires up easy. The problem is as follows. Once I've ridden for about 5 minutes he scooter cuts out as if the the fuel c**k has been turned off but of course it hasn't.seeing as this happens while riding I try a rolling start but absolutely dead. However Once I have stopped and waited for about 2-5 minutes with the fuel line open the bike then starts again no problem. This only happens once the bike has been standing overnight or for at least 2 hours.Idon't think it's electric but rather am thinking maybe the carb needs a service, yes? Help pls.

Two things spring to mind
1. LT coil faulty and breaking down when warm. Not so uncommon, check for a spark as soon as scooter dies. 2. Pressure lock in the fuel system, try riding without the fuel cap.

2nd Vote for coil breakdown. Some people carry a spare.

why not start with the easiest of jobs, new spark plug, and then move on doing one thing at a time, plug cap, HT lead, then maybe coil or carb issue, also worth checking fuel pipe has no restrictions and is not too long and that fuel tap gives decent flow and as shaunbond says, make sure petrol filler cap breather hole is clear.
