Cosa 1993 where's the battery!

Hi.
Anybody help.

Cosa 1993 will not start, kick start doesn't
work but the lights come on when kick starting but engine not.

I've looked high and low and some one stated that the battery is dead....what battery!

Help. Anybody got any ideas if this model has a battery?

Picture is where the spare wheel is. Unsure what it's use is for. I think a transformer..

Hello, if it had a battery it would be under the nearside panel where the spare wheel is located.
The lights will come on when you kick it over as the stator is generating current as you turn the flywheel.

Surely it should still start kicking it?
Have you checked the spark plug is sparking? Can you smell petrol as you try to kickstart it? When was the last time it was running?

Thanks guys for the reply. Checked the bike from top to bottom. No battery. When kick starting lights come on the cluster. I've not turned it over for over 8 months.

Clean carb, fresh fuel, check spark then start it up.
