Hi all Ive had my PX200 a few month now but have not used it on the road. Ive just spent my time cleaning and servicing. Everything is fine with it except getting it into 1st gear which takes both hands! i have changed the oil & tightened the gear cable as much as possible. Could this be just a stretched cable or something more "internal"?

with the engine off try sitting on it and gently rock it forward and at the same time try to engage 1st. They can be a bit stiff at times. Then fire it up and try for real.

As citydaz says above 👆.
Is your clutch working? You can find out by pulling the clutch lever in and kicking the kickstart at the same time, if the kickstart slips on kicking, that means the clutch is engaged and working. It may however near some fine tuning at the clutch cable adjuster, under the engine, when used driving.😉 Mij☺

Don't think the cables are wrong as they haven't been touched. I can get it in gear its just hard and leaps forward when it engages. I'm erring towards the clutch cable adjustment. let you know how i get on

Thanks for the advice, a bit of tightening of the clutch cable and all is good now.
