I am still buying them!!! Me and Sally have got a 1959 Wurlitzer in a our "diner", and we trawl the charity shops for little gems, and most of the above i have come across, including Muds Lonely This Christmas, which is on the jukebox and possibly the greatest ever christmas song.....Dave
Just been browsin' during a slack period at work (Boss away!).
Yes indeed, I still have my Showaddywaddy records, and Darts on vinyl and tape. If I ever meet anybody for real, I can always tell the story about when Darts were on at the Hamilton in Birkenhead, and I was on the door........
My first record was "Apache" by the Shadows, and I was also the first person in my gang to buy "Love Me Do", which I had autographed by The Beatles at the Birkenhead Majestic. Somebody trod on it! (Love Me Do not The Majestic).
This band Rockbitch have been cropping up in conversation a bit lately. There's a band doing the rounds at rallies in the south east called Punch The Vicar. From what I could see at Camber they're a bunch of student lesbians in fancy dress that think it's shocking to sing songs, the lyrics of which consist entirely of the word "b*ll*cks", or their party piece "I Love Your Minge".
Apparently Rockbitch's party piece is to throw the "Golden Condom" into the crowd and the person that catches it gets to shag the bass player. It's a woman, which is a small consolation.
