I am still looking for my next 200cc scooter. There are loads of PX's about, but appears to be a shortage of P200E's. I am basing this on the lack of P200E's on ebay. Can someone throw some light on this please. I don't want to buy a duff model if there is such a thing exists. My mate has a P200E and swears by it, it does look nice. Thank you.

I applaud your choice of scooters sir!
yes there are not too many P200Es around. I did a search on that "howmanyareleft.co.uk" website and it says 214 (?), but i doubt its accuracy as it says there are only 34 Rally 200's left !
Just keep looking or else get a PX and retro fit P200e Mk1 parts - headset top, speedo, headlight lens, horncast, smooth round front hub, rubber centre mat, rear light, front mudguard, slim glove box, badges, and get rid of the oil pre-mix window - (have i missed anything?). Its the little things that make the difference.
Good luck!

They are about, take a look on Facebook, I'm sure they're pages on there for Vespas, (I'm not on Facebook at all) usually anything that states a certain vehicle is scarce, it's total crap. I only have 125cc scoots with kits on, as citydaz and scooterg says the engines theirselves are harder to find.

Think this month's scootering magazine has a few p/PX 200e scoots for sale and I often see them in eBay UK. mij☺

I ended up with a rust free 1985 PX 200 E Disc 15,000 miles MOT etc. Sip 2 Exhaust. Pulls like a train and starts well. Crap colour, might go metallic red or blue. Will do photos when I get it out in the sun again, will need a rack but don't know whether to get back or front just for carrying a holdall, will not bling it up apart from that. Thanks for replies lads.

well done. The SIP exhausts are really something else at giving low down pulling power!

Thanks Daz, at least we get replies on this forum. My BSA Forum has at least 25 new posts a day. Vespa must be that good that's why there are seldom posts on here or the other related forum.
