900mph and rising mate. I'll be honest and say i think loads of it is absolute drivel mate, but then you hear that odd tune and it moves you.
While I'm heer on the new "Northern soul search forum" ( cheers to Lou and Devo McDuff for the tune hunting by the way.
Another little gem I wouldn't mind hearing again on MP3 or real player is - "I think I'm gonna write a song" by Darrow Fletcher.
My top 3 for at the mo' are
1. Lou Pride 2. "Beggin" Franki Vallie 3. "Shoes" bobby bland
but by tomorrow they will be a different top 3 LOL

There's 8 or 9 by Darrow Fletcher in the jukebox on soulclub.org, but not that one sadly.

Not that I'm massively well up on Northern Soul, but I agree with you Smallframe.
I find a lot of the stuff a bit run on the mill but then you hear somet that stands out straight away and grabs your attention again.
Just listening to a compilation I just got now .... and here was me thinking 'Seven Days To Long' was an original Dexys tune!

Must surely be the largest on-line northern soul, r&B, popcorn and modern library on the internet? I met and danced with Darrow.....you can see my photos on the Cleethorpes 2007 Event Photos Karen x

Hmm. It's quite good, nice funky bridge, but I definitely prefer the Marvin Gaye version.
