Just thought i would ask the question:
Who has used non-scooter related parts as a permanent fix for their vespa?
Im not talking about things which you have lashed together to get you home in an emergency, but modifications made which deliberately use non-Piagggio parts. For example years ago i used meccano brackets on my Rally 200 to help hold my side panels in place. Currently Im using a nylon bread board as a back plate to hold the CDI unit when the plastic cracked on the original unit. My wife went mad when she found out i had cut up her favourite chopping board!
answers please............

I knew it, I was half expecting an old doc Martin boot sole as a brake lever or something. Bet mijs list is fairly extensive too!! 😆

The crossbar tube with a flat plate welded to it, that lets a folding bicycle fold, bolted it to a cut-down vespa,to use as a bar for fitting a motorcycle petrol tank, passed it's not too! Rebar used to extend vespa px forks! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RebarThe closed end, cut off a washing machine drum ( took hours to get drum out whole lol) used as a Moon style spare wheel disc! Nylon kitchen cutting board, heat up, then bend to curve around clothes pole, used as seat bases on vespa choppers. Ah! The good old days of the mid 1980's 😂. Mij☺
