My 125 with DR177 kit, sip road 2, polini 180 head and drilled filter (all jetted up to suit) will only do 55mph at and absolute push, I mean flat out. I've been trying to figure out why for ages. It runs fine and gets to 50mph fine. Any ideas?

Gets to 50/55mph then that's all it's got, will almost sit at 50 but 55 is absolute screaming limit

Sounds like it's geared wrong, but I can't be certain. What about a T5 4th gear on it? Are you using a lightened flywheel, as if it's too light, it would Rev the nuts off it and have no top end whatsoever. Only going off sense, as you could write everything I know about scoots on the back of a 5p piece with a 2 inch brush...... ๐

Could timing be anything to do with it? When I hit the scoot it was pinking quite badly, I found that the timing was set somewhere between the A and the IT mark (almost on the A mark) so I moved it to roughly on the IT mark and the pinking was gone but S.I.P suggest to run the DR177 kits at 19 degrees?
