Having more fun "tweaking" my speaker position and toe in, this time, also using the foam bungs that came with my speakers ( and others or can be bought separately), they go in the bass port ( hole) in the front of my speakers ( bass port hole or holes usually on the back of other speakers π) they tune the base (lowering the loudness, among other things on my speakers. These old speakers come up very cheap on eBay and are well worth having a listen to! I also have the Denon PMA 250se amp mentioned in what hi-fi's review, which is another oldie but goodie π. Obviously newer stuff should sound better but, ( costs moreπ) and I've had these for years and years and just recently got them out the attic and I also upgrade parts of my hifi, as it takes my fancy and my wallet can afford it! Horses for course's π www.whathifi.com/features/was-then-tannoy-mercury-m3-reviewI also do a lot of listening on this old favourite π, lots of these also available on ebay. www.whathifi.com/features/was-then-marantz-cd-63-mkii-ki-signatureForgot how good this album π is, having a "tweak as I listen to it, on Cd . Happy listening and tweaking. MijβΊ

Listening to The Who album, Who are you on Lp, had it for years, it's part of a double album, with Live at Leeds, not listened to it for a long, long time, what a strange album.

yes it is a strange album, with lots of un-who like songs. the over-use of the synthersizer doesnt help, neither does the unusual time time signatures of a lot of the songs ie drumming, I dont know if Kenney Jones is mentioned on the album, but he did quite quite a few tracks as Keith wasnt in the best of shape at the time of recording.

Ironsloth, funny as feck π. Bought these cables from shop in link, they ordered them for me and got them 2 days later ( today) great service and no p*sh taking of my "basic" old system, compared to the high end hifi they sell.π www.audioemotion.co.uk/chord-c-line-analogue-rca-interconnect-5195-p.aspListening to this π album on Cd , as I run the new cables in π±. Yes the Enemy were quite good for a while, but ive not heard any of their later stuff. The comparisons to the Jam are quite apt, not a criticism from me, but it might have caused them to be "pigeon-holed" I remember about 10 years ago taking my 4 year old toddler and daughter in a pram to see them in Manchester one saturday afternoon at a cafe called TV21. No alcohol but tea, coffee and cakes were on sale. it was very good!

Citydaz,cheers.
I've been researching speaker cable for a few days, bad part is I'll need 12 meters!
Using borrowed stands too, as obviously the Tannoy M3 floorstanders don't need them and the Mission speakers I also have, use the Mission specific micrometer stands, so more saving up to do.
I'll liking listening to music as much as I love my PX Vespas at the moment π±.

Might have some floorstands for a pair of speakers, let me clean them up, and I'll email you a picture. At the moment my speaker stands has some tools and a 'vampire duck' on it (he has a cape....). π

Ironsloth, sorry, not looked at the forum for a few days, as been staying with my 89 year old Mum, as she's been frightened to stay in her house alone, as her nextdoor neighbors were away for a few days.
Bugger! Those stands would have done the job! Stick them on here for sale or eBay for Β£40-50?, I had a look on eBay, but most wouldn't post them.
Once again, sorry.

The lead singer/ multi talented musician, Steve Mason was a member of the same scooter club as me, he's a good lad, who's only fault is ... He's a Lambretta man π±ππ. And he's also suffered from mental ill health, the same as I have most of my life, hopefully he's managed to overcome it π. Also like me, he trained in martial arts for a good few years ππππ en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Mason_(musician)MijβΊ
