use a dellorto vacuum pump ,not one of the cheap copys there sh*te .an it will need a return line with a restrictor in , a old spark plug top is just the right size .basically a loop from a t-piece in supply side to a t-piece in output side with a narrowing/restriction in it.this stops the pump overcoming the float/needle valve an flooding carb .with si carbs a cosa/p200 5.2mm needle valve, sprung types required .with other dell carbs the needle valve can be changed, from a large one to a smaller one more able to resist the pressure from pump . Thanks, Iโve seen pictures of the set up on various websites but not sure where I take the vacuum from. Itโs saying the crankcase ?

you can drill an tap the cases for the vacuum line , but its easier to do this to the manifold if using a non si carb .H

I'm running the standard 24mm carb but it has been modified, it's been drilled and has got a pinasco needle and float bowel. Plus I'm not totally convinced it's a fuel starvation problem, it cuts out occasionally when flat out in top but I think I'll give it one more blast with a full tank of fuel and petrol tap on reserve just to be sure. I may be back for more advice ๐

check ya ignition an cdi before going fuel , a failing cdi can give similar symptoms of hesitation at high revs ,aswell as blocking tap an overlong/looped fuel line . H
