How Long’s a piece of string?

Ello folks, I thought I’d inspect my rear brakes for wear & maintenance.
My PX 125 Disc is 3 years old & I’ve done around 11,000 miles since I bought it last July with 288 miles on the clock.
They work really well and I’ve kept them adjusted.

So the question is.... how long is a piece of string AKA how long do rear drum pads last? As you can see from the photo I took after I cleaned the unit, there is plenty of wear left on them and there was no glazing etc.

Looks like the one’s I bought will be in my tool box for quite some time before I use them.

its from the middle to the end times 2 ,least was last time i measured some string .
those shoes look fine ,how long they last is down to riding style ,i mostly use more rear than front brake so mine about 10,000 .on a disc your probably using more front so 20,000 , so i'd check ya pads for wear .H

On the rear I changed mine about at 15,000. Yours look like new, as H says prob as you have a decent front, I don’t have disc so backs don’t last as long.
