Hi all, Started the Px125e this evening after full engine strip down and rebuild including new clutch.Started first kick & sounded very sweet idling but once I got on to try a wee test drive as soon as I pulled the clutch lever and selected first she jumped and stalled. Tried it several times and each time was the same so I tried to select 2nd and it was the same. Held clutch in and selected first and managed a bump start of sorts and got her going and driving but what’s the issue here ? I’m thinking gear cables too tight / too loose ?? What’s your thoughts ? Thanks as always M

morelli, sounds like a clutch problem, check your clutch, by first kicking the kickstart with the ignition switched OFF, so you get a feel for the resistance from the gearbox, then, still with the ignition OFF, pull in the clutch lever and kick the kickstart, you should feel next to no resistance with the clutch lever pulled in, if you do feel resistance with the clutch lever pulled in, try tightening your clutch cable more.
Or could be a dodgy new clutch, I've bought a few over the years,it's a pain in the arse.
Good luck.

Thanks Mij Did the checks as you said. Turns out that the clutch cable wasn’t adjusted properly so tightened everything up and micro- adjusted and now it’s sorted, just back from the 2nd test run and so far so good ! Thanks for the help M
