Stolen from Carlton near Wakefield last night. A white Honda PCX125 5 bloody weeks I've had it. Parked in the same spot I've parked my Vespa for 5 years and never had a bit of bother. Looks like my grand restoration project of my Vespa will consist of rebuilding the engine and sticking it back in The Honda is probably in bits now but you never know

Cheers H, They may have had a grown up tosser with them as the disc lock, chain & steering lock means they would have had to pick it up and into the back of a van. It was there at 11 last night, what a ball ache getting to work this morning. 5 weeks old and only done 300 miles. I'm not attached to it like my Vespa but a £500 insurance excess is a bitter pill. It was in the same spot I've parked my Vespa for 5 years. But at least she's tucked up cosy in my son's garage minus the engine. I really would have been gutted if it had been the PX. My main hope is that their goolies turn square and fester on the corners

Sorry to hear that mate, had a spate of that around my way 2 or 3 years ago, surprisingly it was Vespa PX's they were going for, dramatically stopped for a while after a scoot was crashed about 2 hundred yards from my door and the young(17/18 year-old) idiot GIRL!!! on it, head butted the kerb, with no helmet on! No idea how she's doing, but Her and her buddies (boys) were total young scumbags, who created mayhem all around.

My god! I thought the scrotes that pinched the scooter were bad enough. They've got nothing on the insurance company. Not only are they taking 500 notes off me for the excess they are using the trade guide book and apparently in the space of 2 months the scoot is worth 400 less so I'll be nearly a grand out of pocket. I think I might as well bank the cheque and just carry on paying the 0% to honda finance. I'm not bitter..........robbing gits

They really are b*st**ds... The Mrs works in insurance, she fights tooth and nail for her customers. Think my excess is £350, always thought that paying for insurance, then paying again is insane.... Hope it gets sorted soon, and hope the thieving gits die from anal curry burns....

It's crazy, when you buy insurance why the hell do they ask the value of the vehicle when they've no intention of paying the full amount.

Scootering magazine has mentioned insurance in the past, believe they said find out what a vehicle of similar age, milage and condition was selling for, use magazines, online market places etc and use that against the insurance companies as evidence of market value, not the trade guide. Maybe someone can find the scootering issue it was in?
